That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
The White Peak Distillery is located in Derbyshire in the Peak District, England. The former Johnson & Nephew wire works by a river and in an ancient woodland is an amazing location, which is rich in history.
The first bottling by That Boutique-y Whisky Company from the English White Peak Distillery. This release is part of the Home Nations series and was matured for two years in an STR red wine cask. Full of flavour after only two years but too young to call whisky. The label references the distillery’s location – in the picturesque Derwent Valley in Derbyshire. Bit of a Victorian theme going on there, too, aside from the helicopter. We reckon they didn’t have those back then, but really, who knows?
Bottled at 50% ABV and only 603 bottles produced.
Nose: Freshly cut grass, mountain thyme, fresh ripe apples and tropical fruits.
Palate: Chocolate coated coffee beans, red berries and garden herbs with some toasted malt too.
Finish: Soft peat smoke and herbal notes.
