Now produced by the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky the Sazerac Rye dates back to old New Orleans, and more specifically the Sazerac Coffee House where patrons were served toddies made with Rye whisky and bitters which came to be known as a “Sazerac”, giving name to America’s first branded cocktail.

This great Sazerac Straight Rye Whisky makes a fantastic ‘Sazerac’ Cocktail of course, but should also be considered for any whisky cocktail, or neat over ice.

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Sweet and spicy, with citrus and black pepper.

Taste: Continued spice and citrus, with more of a caramel toffee sweetness.

Finish: Long, spicy finish.
