The Tin Shed Distillery in Adelaide, South Australia is a place where determination, dedication and an unshakeable belief is starting to pay off. The distillery is all about passion and a spiritual journey. Every step of the process is performed by hand from milling the malt, stirring the mash, making the cut and moving the barrels, to judging which casks to use, bottling, labelling and shipping bottles. The distillery was established in 2013 and has mainly been releasing single cask whisky to this point. Most of the releases are sold out in very short time and become either historic and memorable drams with friends or sit pride of place on a whisky cabinet. The distillery produces three brands of spirit. Iniquity….the whisky, Requiem….the rum and Piotr….the vodka.

After obtaining malt extract rather than malted barley grains the folks at the Tin Shed Distillery have matured this in a single American Oak Sherry cask. The cask was obtained from McWilliams the malt extract from from Coopers Brewery. Aged for 4 years and bottled at 52% abv. Try this one with a Mars bar or a remarkable experience.

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Soft blonde caramel, Manuka honey, floral notes of heather and violets, almond nougat.

Palate: Fruit and nut chocolate, creamy caramel, toasted almonds and nougat.

Finish: Long and moreish with soft milk chocolate nougat and creamy toffee.
