Diplomatico’s flagship rum was named ‘Exclusiva’ as a tribute to their 18th century founder Don Juancho Nieto Meléndez, who was always in search of exclusive flavours for his rums. This rum is a blend of  rums aged from 8 years to 12 years old which were distilled in a copper pot still,  from molasses and sugarcane honey, aged in ex-bourbon barrels.

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Creamy, vanilla, freshly brewed coffee, fruity, butterscotch and citrus peel.

Palate: Liquorice and vanilla, plenty of dried fruits and hints of burnt citrus peel. Sweet and spicy. Perfectly balanced.

Finish: A very long finish, more vanilla and liquorice. Dark chocolate, sage and thyme. The perfect rum, not overly sweet and plenty of flavour.
