Darkness whisky is a collection of award winning, intensley sherried Scotch whisky. Every whisky in the Darkness range has undertaken a signature maturation of 6 months in a specially hand coopered sherried octave cask. This tiny vessel of only a capacity of 64 litres yields maximum richness and depth plus an alluring 100% natural red amber colour.
Sourced from distilleries in the Campbeltown region this whisky is a superb blended malt whisky. Given a finishing period in an ex-Moscatel sherry octave cask creating a full bodied rich whisky with plenty of sherry notes. Bottled at 57.7% ABV.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh sea salt, digestive biscuits, earthy oak, dried stone fruits and subtle red berry aromas.
Palate: Salted peanut butter ice cream meets red berry compote.
Finish: Long with rich milk chocolate and earthy vanilla.
