The Bowmore aged 9 years has been matured in both ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks allowing the distinctive Bowmore smokiness to shine through. Released in 2016, this expression was aimed to be a limited release and now sadly is nearly disappeared for good. Only a few bottles remain.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Breathe in rich cocoa, pepper and raisins balanced with citrus tang and wisps of Islay smoke.
Palate: Complex sherry with peat smoke followed by dark fruits and sweet crème caramel.
Finish: Savour the perfect balance of sea salt and peat smoke.
