The 100% Islay range is the world’s only Single Farm Single Malt scotch whisky. Every stage in the creation of this peaty scotch whisky is completed at Kilchoman, Islay’s farm distillery. From growing the barley to bottling the whisky it is 100% Islay.
The 8th Edition is a vatting of 23 ex-bourbon barrels and 7 ex-oloroso sherry butts filled between 2008 and 2012. With a peat range of 20PPM and limited to 12,000 bottles worldwide.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh, light citrus notes followed by a hint of caramel, sherry sweetness and charred peat embers.
Taste: A lovely balance of fresh fruit, spiced chocolate and cinnamon with soft lingering peat smoke.
Finish: A balance of intense sweetness, soft peat smoke and bursts of mixed fruit.
