Founded in 1897 by Thomas MacKenzie, the Imperial Distillery was situated in Carron on the banks of the river Spey and drew its water from the Ballintomb Burn. The distillery closed in 1998 and has been subsequently demolished.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Delicate Sherry influences with apricot and mango aromas, complimented by a hint of liquorice.
Palate: Peppery with ripe banana, orange and lingering milk chocolate flavours.
