The Singleton of Glen Ord is a whisky Distillery which is situated in the Scottish Highlands. It is the only remaining whisky distillery on Black Isle. The Black Isle is a peninsula within Ross and Cromarty, in the Scottish Highlands. It includes the towns of Cromarty and Fortrose,
The distillery was founded in 1838 and now it produces around 12 million litres of spirit each year mainly for Diageo’s number one blended whisky Johnnie Walker.
This is another great whisky by this distillery, matured in fresh charred American oak ex-Bourbon Hogsheads. This whisky has plenty of fruity flavours along with spice. The label on this bottling features a fish or rainbow trout looking at a blackberry bush which ties this bottling into the theme for the series release of ‘Rare By Nature’.
Nose: Marmalade and summer berries.
Taste: Candied orange, summer fruits and soft caramel dances with milk chocolate.
Finish: Citrus caramel, fruit salad and spice.
