Dailuaine derives from the Scottish Gaelic ‘An dail uaine’ meaning ‘green valley’. This distilleries whiskies are rarely seen and sought after when they are available. Owners Diageo use the malt from the distillery in blends, mainly Johnnie Walker. Only the best casks make it out to be independently bottled. Available usually at cask strength as a vintage or aged statement. Expect a heavy meaty malt whisky with cereals and plenty of fruity components.

Adelphi exist to identify the very small number of casks that have produced the ultimate whiskies. The criteria for selection include rarity and maturity, but above all flavour. These whiskies are both rare and sought-after – these very special casks are so rare that, on average, Adelphi accepts a mere 4% that it is offered. Each single cask of whisky matures its contents very differently, imparting its own character to the whisky it holds and, as a result, there are never two Adelphi’s quite the same.

Bottled as part of the Laudale Range of whiskies by Adelphi this whisky has spent its life maturing in sherry barrels. With a rather small outturn of only 1420 bottles for worldwide consumption and bottled at 46% abv. It was distilled at the Dailuaine Distillery in Speyside, Scotland.

Laudale is a river and an Estate on the West Coast of Scotland near Glenborrodale and the Ardnamurchan Distillery.
