Angus Dundee are an independently owned company founded on the love of whisky. They own the Tomintoul and Glencadam distilleries in Scotland and also boast the independently bottled whisky range named MacKillop’s Choice. Montgomerie’s is also an independent bottling available from Angus Dundee which celebrates single cask whisky from mainly Scottish distilleries. The whisky is sourced from the distillery and presented at 46% ABV with no chill filtration and no added colour. These are rare findings of aged single cask whisky.

This Speside single malt whisky was drawn from cask 900053 in September 2017. It was matured for 21 years in a single ex-Bourbon cask and bottled at 46% ABV.

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Apple pie with dark caramel sauce, a sprinkling of sesame seeds, freshly cracked black pepper and buttery biscuit mix.

Palate: Butterscotch, raw cake mix, freshly cooked bread, garden herbs and cinnamon spice.

Finish: Black tea, toffee apples and ginger nut biscuits.
